Self Care Action Calendar.jpg

Self-care goal: Taking small breaks is important! I will strive to follow this action calendar OR  write in my gratitude journal

For me, self-care means taking good care of oneself by doing actions that alleviate stress, strategies to recuperate energy, and striving to form connections with important aspects of my life.

Responding to Stressful Events

"Eating An Elephant One Bite At A Time. This means that everything in life that seems daunting, overwhelming, and even impossible can be accomplished gradually by taking on just a little at a time." - Desmond Tutu

  • Less overthinking.

  • Try to not take it "personally" (Example: Disrespect)

  • Seek support (Mentor Teacher, staff, administration.)

  • Count to 5 before reacting.

  • Take 5 deep breathes.

  • Motivational quotes

  • Setting small goals and celebrating small wins for myself.
